The Henrico Concert Band (HCB) is a 65 member all-volunteer concert band in the Richmond, VA area. Our band is pleased to announce the appointment of Duane Coston as our new Director. Duane is also the Director of the VCU University Band, and the VCU “Peppas” Pep Band. Welcome Duane!
Our band would also like to wish our previous Director, Randy Abernathy, a fond farewell and a big ‘Thanks’ for his 17 years of leadership. Randy was instrumental in growing our band from 17 members to our current size during that 17-year term. Randy also elevated the band’s level of performance greatly during his tenure.
HCB normally performs 12 to 15 concerts per year in a variety of venues around the Richmond, VA area. HCB specializes in performing high-level symphonic, patriotic, march, and international compositions. Our audiences invite us back year after year, and our annual holiday performances are highly anticipated.
